Lendzzy - MVP Product Design & Strategy
The sharing and circular economies are experiencing exponential growth. While platforms like Airbnb have revolutionized accommodation rental, a significant gap remains: the lack of a reliable and accessible platform for renting everyday objects (cameras, camping gear, tools, musical instruments, etc.). This is particularly relevant as the younger generation (Gen Z) increasingly prioritizes access over ownership.
Many people own expensive items they rarely use, leaving them idle. Potential users who need these items temporarily lack a secure and convenient way to rent them. Trust is not established between strangers in the context of personal item rental, and the complexity of managing transactions, insurance, and liability is a major barrier.
To design an MVP that solves this problem simply, intuitively, and securely. The challenge was not just to design an app, but to architect a system of trust and a user experience that makes renting items between strangers as natural as buying something online.
